Kayla Kowal, PT, DPT, CSCS, COMT, AIB-VRC, BDN
Kayla is a physical therapist and personal trainer that grew up just outside of Chicago. She played soccer from 4 years old until her senior year at Maryville University where she spent 6.5 years obtaining her undergrad and doctoral degrees. She then began her career as a physical therapist in an outpatient orthopedic facility where she treated multiple diagnoses between chronic pain, acute sports injuries, and post-surgical rehab.
She moved to NutriFormance to follow her passion for fitness and overall wellness with a goal to keep people of all ages moving for as long as possible. As a physical therapist, she uses skills learned as a Certified Manual Therapist (CMPT) and through biomedical dry needling (BDN) to help achieve better mobility and pain relief along with a focus on rehabilitative exercise to help patients and clients achieve their goals. During her time at Maryville, she tore her ACL and through her experience she has developed a special place in her heart for rehabilitating other athletes with ACL tears and preparing them to be competition ready.
In her free time, Kayla enjoys reading, hiking, gardening, going to the gym with her husband, and spending time with friends and family.
