Ben Smith, BS, CSCS
Certified Personal Trainer, Sports Performance Coach

Before joining NutriFormance and Athletic Republic, Ben attended Millikin University and played football for 3 seasons. While at Millikin, Ben dealt with a myriad of injuries that kept him from being able to perform at his best.  After his junior season, he retired from football and transferred to Missouri State University to complete his undergraduate degree in Exercise and Movement Science. Prior to transferring, Ben completed a summer internship at Force Barbell, a sports performance gym in Fishers, Indiana.

While at Missouri State, Ben assisted in the training of multiple athletic teams, most notably the Men’s Basketball team. It was at Missouri State where he learned programming and progression of different athletes. During his successful high school career as a football player, Ben trained here at Athletic Republic where his interest in personal training and sports performance enhancement began.

Ben has had a long standing passion for fitness, athletics, and self-improvement. Now back in his hometown, he is pursuing his Master’s Degree in Human Performance at Lindenwood University.  He continuously looks to improve his craft and use what he learns in class to accomplish the goals of his clients.
